Outside Food Vendors
New Haven has a plethora of establishments that are able to provide food for your event. Below are some vendors that groups use frequently. Please be sure to provide your full name on your orders and mention that the invoice should be sent to Marie Carrano in Student Affairs at Yale Law School.
Vendors who can directly invoice the Law School
If your group decides to use one of the vendors below, please be sure to notify us when you arrange for catering. You will need to provide information on the expense (see page on invoices for information) and event to ensure that the invoice can be paid in a timely manner. Please also note the special instructions as well as ordering hints gathered from past student event organizers below.
Please let them know you are placing an order for the house account under 203-432-7951, Marie Carrano. Please also be sure to give your name and cell phone number separately as the contact for the order. Abaté will fax the invoice to OSA.
Please let Ernesto know that your order is for Yale Law School and ask him to send the invoice for your order to Sachi Sugimoto Rodgers. Pricing through Ay! Arepa seems to be cheaper in some instances.

You will need to indicate that you would like the invoice to be sent to Sachi Sugimoto Rodgers/Marie Carrano and provide the following information when placing your order.

Elm City Social
Please email Ryan Howard (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your order at least 48 hours in advance to make sure your order can be filled. Please be sure to identify yourself as a Yale Law School student and let them know the invoice should be sent to Marie Carrano and Sachi Sugimoto Rodgers in the Office of Student Affairs.
Four Flours Bakery
Please let them know you are from Yale Law School and the invoice should be sent to Sachi and Marie. They do have a $10 delivery fee (no minimum order).
They have a YLS Special Chillwich Platter containing 10 assorted cookie ice cream sandwiches (8 oz.) that they can cut in halves or quarters per your request for $65.00.
Thao (203-777-7700) can be contacted to place your catering order. With advance notice, they are also able to provide 2L bottles of soda for your event as well. Be sure to mention mention that you are from Yale Law School and referred to them by Sachi/Office of Student Affairs.
Call (475-441-7836) and ask for the catering manager or email your order to email@example.com to arrange for your catering order. Be sure to mention that you are a Yale Law School student organization and ask that the invoice be sent to the Office of Student Affairs.
The Office of Student Affairs has a departmental Mory’s account that can be used for direct billing for meals and events at Mory’s. Please contact Sachi Sugimoto Rodgers to arrange to have the charge for your event on this account.

Uncle Willie’s BBQ
This option is typically pricier than other outside vendors but it is not impossible to order from them using the student group budget. Their business lunch special (e.g., assorted sandwiches with mac & cheese or baked beans and assorted chips) is affordable at $7.99/person (up to 100 people) and $5.99/person (for 101 people or more).

Wall Street Pizza
Please be sure to mention you are calling from Yale Law School and ask that the bill be sent to Sachi Sugimoto Rodgers. If you run into any issues, please ask for Celso who is the person Sachi spoke with to arrange for invoicing.
The Wine Thief
We have discovered the OSA credit card does not work at The Wine Thief so have arranged to allow for invoicing for student activity purchases. Please contact Sachi Sugimoto Rodgers with information on your event, the name of the individual who will be going to the Wine Thief (please be sure to indicate Crown Street or Whitney Avenue) and the approximate date and time that the person will be making the purchase. The Wine Thief requires this information in order to allow for an invoice purchase at the store.
Yorkside will provide you with an invoice to drop off to the Office of Student Affairs. In most instances this is the yellow card stock which provides the itemized order and total. Sometimes it may be a white paper version. Please note you will need to drop off the original version of this invoice as the remittance information is on the back of the invoice.
Vendors who will need the YLS credit card
The vendors below have indicated their preference for credit card payment. You will need to fill out the credit card request form for either journals or student organizations to secure a credit card in advance of your purchase.
This restaurant has expressed a preference for credit cards over invoicing but may be willing if you approach them. They have provided a sample Catering Menu (as of October 2015). Small trays feed 5 - 6 people while big trays feed 10 - 12 people according to the restaurant and feedback they have received from students.
At this time Shake Shack is not able to invoice the Law School and we are not able to leave a credit card on file for student group use. They have also expressed a preference for bringing in the physical card. Please fill out a credit card request form to check-out the credit card for Shake Shack purchases.
While this vendor is not able to invoice, they have expressed an interest in working with student groups and have offered the following special service. Be sure to speak with Sherif and let him know you are with Yale Law School (203-782-6000 or cell 203-815-0864). Menus are available in the Office of Student Affairs.
- For Burrito orders under 30, you may arrange for made to order burritos (i.e., they will make burritos to order and individually wrap and label them). Note this cannot be done last minute so you will need to plan accordingly.
